"So, what do you wish you've learnt when you were younger?" Dot asked.
It was Saturday night. We were both waiting for the bus at Tampines.
I considered for a moment. "Ballet", I answered, "But no longer so."
"How about you?" I asked.
"(insert here)." (Ok, I confess. I forgot what you replied.)
"Then... What courses would you likely to enroll your child in future?" She asked further.
I paused. Now, I've never really quite given it much thoughts yet. "I think I'll firstly ask my child what he/she is interested in. If there is none, perhaps I would consider violin. Or the cello.
How about you?" I re-posed the question back to her again.
"Piano piano!" She replied enthusiastically, with a glint in her eyes.
It is exactly what had first came into my mind a moment earlier. "Hmmm... It's a tad common, isn't it?" I commented, throwing in my two-cents worth. Anyway, it had been the reason why I chose violin and cello over piano in the first place.
"Oh, yeah. True true..."
The conversation paused momentarily. After a moment's thought, something better struck me.
"You know what?" I grinned. "I think... First and foremost, we should both enroll our kids for some SWIMMING lessons."
