Rashes. Then now, diarrhoea and cold to add on.
The antihistamine pills were noticeably less efficient than the previous prescription's. Perhaps it's because I asked specifically for the non-drowsy ones - to which the doctor agreed obligingly; after cautioning that it is less effective than the usual, drowsy ones (hydroxyzine). To strike a balance, she decided to prescribe a mixture of both - non-drowsy for the day, and drowsy for the night.
I finished the entire one-week-course of medication on Friday. Unlike the first prescription with which the bumps started subsiding on the 4th day, this second prescription hardly had any effect on the existing swellings and bumps. All it did, I guess, is to curb the amount of new bumps from arising. Till today, I still have to contend with the existing ones and wait for them to subside on their own; which is a cruel torture because the itchy hands have a primitive tendency to peel the dry skin or scratch the lil' bumps.
Two days earlier prior to that, on Wednesday morning, an unexpected flu and diarrhoea hit. The nose act like a water tap that morning. Literally. If it were to take part in a marathon, the nose would claim the first prize hands down. The next day, on Thursday, the cold subside and I felt almost healthy again. On Friday, the uninvited guest visited again. It hasn't left as of yet.
The diarrhoea? Don't mention it. Each meal ingested results in tummyaches. Hardly feel like eating these days, save for the occasional snacks of tapioca chips. Last night during service, I was so hungry. The rumbling stomach felt absolutely empty. During dinner though, strangely, I could hardly muster up the interest to eat. Maybe it's because of the stuffed, blocked nose. Or maybe it's because the food looks too heavy. Or maybe it's just that the appetite to eat was simply not there.
This morning, I totally overslept! Was supposed to wake up at 530am, and be at JW at 7am. I ended up only waking at close to 9am. I was so dead; I don't even recall reaching down to pick up the mobile phone from the floor and hitting the snooze button. When I woke up at 9am, I was absolutely surprised to see the room so brightly lit, and was mortified to find the mobile phone next to the pillow.
Anyway, am I getting sick-er as I age, or what?
