BULGOGI

BULGOGI

I have been meaning to attempt making Bulgogi. The 2 main
sauces required are Teriyaki Sauce and Mirin. Most supermarkets I've been to, however, only offer the former. On such instants, I often leave the store empty-handed.

On Monday afternoon, I was at City Hall area, and adjourned down to a supermarket nearby after having settled some stuffs. After searching the shelves and still not finding any bottles of mirin in sight, out of frustration, I decided to just purchase the Teriyaki Sauce first. Mirin, well, I'll see it when I see it; and I'll purchase it when I
do see it.

The following day, on Tuesday, I popped by one of the shopping malls near my house after a morning briefing at Buona Vista. I decided to try out my luck in the supermarket store there, and lo and behold! MIRIN!

Anyway, for optimum results, I'm leaving the chicken (yeah yeah, I know Bulgogi is usually made with barbecue beef or sirloin. But too bad my parents don't take beef) to marinate overnight. I seriously have not the slightest idea how the Bulgogi will turn out; considering that it's my first attempt. Oh well, oh well. If it tastes good enough, I'll blog about it. If you don't see any further updates on Bulgogi, please wise up. Ask at your own risk. Hohoho and Merry Christmas!
